We look forward with enthusiasm to Sunday 17 August when David Healey is hosting a barbecue during the afternoon after leading a short Service at about 1.30 in the Chapel. We hope for warm (but not excessive) summer weather to let us enjoy the garden. David’s theme will be about community.
The pear tree has been dropping lots of ripe fruit recently and we found a very sweet note (with a two pound coin attached) from a couple of visitors from Birmingham who had found the garden and the windfall fruit and gathered some of it up to take away and enjoy. I can confirm that though they look unattractive and may be a little firm to the touch, they can make for a delicious cooked dish. First come …..!
