We were very grateful to Mandy Littlejohn and David Healey for the very successful BBQ we held last month in the garden. David started the proceedings with a short service in the Chapel about Community, a very suitable topic for the occasion as we gathered some 30 people for a celebration of our “family” and friends, including several from the Quakers along the High Street. We then moved outside for a barbecue overseen by Mandy, with delicious food and good conversation.
On October 5th at 4.30 Diane Rutter will take our Harvest Festival service. It being the Harvest Festival, we are again inviting non-perishable contributions to add to our usual offering to the local Leamington Food Bank. We will then be having another Social get-together, but inside the Chapel this time, bringing in a range of enticing platters from the Chip Shed in Swan Street, and once again we are inviting friends to share company and conversation.
